About the Brand: Code 22

Code 22, forged by the brilliant Michel Messarra, who was the creative force behind the ES Collection.
Created in Spain in 2015, the beauty of Code 22 is its simplicity maintaining a minimalist yet masculinity design. Whilst underwear came first, the brand swiftly introduced a swimwear line, with Sportswear and T-shirts being introduced shortly afterwards.
The brands goal was to find a natural balance between design, comfort and functionality. These keywords anchor each and every new Code 22 collection.

About the Underwear: Basic Brief 01151

These square
cut briefs are made of the finest modal/cotton/elasthane fabric and feature a super soft elastic waist band with the iconic barcode logo on the back waist
The Review: Code 22 Basic Briefs

From the moment I slipped into them, I knew I'd have to take my camera into my local gym's locker room. So called “Tighty-whities” get a bad rep for being old fashioned but to me they make me think of vintage era sportsmen stripping off after a match, or the hunks on period pieces like American Horror Story.
I guess the word to use would be “innocent”, which with the contour pouch and the rear seam to enhance the ravine of your peach, these briefs are anything but! In an era where underwear aimed at gay men are becoming more outlandish, I love the mash-up of the classic design with new techniques.

I just wish the blue waistband used to give the logo its colour was on the outside. Its such a brilliant shade, that it's a shame that it doesn't get shown and also makes the white waistbands just slightly off-colour compared to the bold white of the rest of the brief.
Overall, I was right to wear them to gym. Matched with some sporty socks, these are incredibly comfy and sexy. Code 22 is a new brand to my underwear draw but from these I would definitely check out more from their collection. Perfect for my workouts and my nights out.
